Dear Brothers and Fellow Servants in Christ,

In this Email I am including a brochure* that I hope you will want to provide for the people with whom you work and minister. This bulletin is announcing a series of seminars on the last three Saturdays of October and the first Saturday of November that Strengthening Ministries Training Institute in Pretoria is conducting.

But before I describe the soon coming seminars, perhaps it would be good for me to explain briefly the general purpose for which SMTI exists. SMTI exists to promote excellence in biblical counselling/discipleship in the local church by training Christians (pastors, elders, deacons, Sunday School teachers, parents, every Christian) in the theologically accurate and practical use of Scripture in understanding and solving the problems of people, and thus promoting growth in and usefulness for Christ in the church and world.

All the teachers at SMTI have extensive training and experience in Biblical Counseling/Discipleship and are committed to the sufficiency of Scripture in helping their students discover God’s answers to Life’s problems. The seminars and training programs are designed to prepare these students to counsel and disciple others from God’s word under the authority of the local Church in South Africa. It is, therefore, the aim of SMTI to strengthen the local church in South Africa by equipping believers to effectively use the Scriptures in their own lives and in the lives of others. In keeping with this general purpose of SMTI, these seminars are planned to more fully equip God’s people to serve Him in their churches and represent him in our communities.

I think the bulletin is pretty self explanatory about the content of the seminars, but if you or anyone else desires more information you may call the numbers listed on the brochure and ask your questions or make your comments.
